1.   Hosting of College Website

The Government College Mananthavady has recently hosted fully functional college website gcmdy.org.  The website is maintained by Prof. Anish Kumar M. S. Department of Electronics. He has made every effort to host a beautiful and informative college website with his own webscripts. The website guides us to various activities of the college, faculty profiles, research activities, department details, academic results, new initiatives hosted in the college and dedicated webmail for both students and faculty members.

2.   C++ Programming Language  class

The current syllabus of B.Sc Electronics in Kannur University is not offering any programming language labs. This is a handicap for the Electronics Students. We have seen over years that the pass out batches struggled a very much to cop with the students from other universities to  find a job in both electronics and Software fields. In this Scenario, we have implemented a best practice in the Department of Electronics. In the final year class, we offer C++ Language lab to the final year students, based on the supervision of our faculty member. We supplied the modules to be taken and the laboratory sessions to be handled. The interesting result turn out as placement in IT industry during last years. A student of III B.Sc Electronics class has been selected to WIPRO technologies, with a good salary package and offer to do MS in BITS Pilani.

3.   Guiding PG thesis

Our faculty members are guiding PG thesis of M.Sc Physics & Electronics students from other campuses. We undertake innovative projects having scope for research. We have already guided 2 post graduate projects and 2 more is in pipe line.

4.   MCA/M.Sc/Campus placement Morning classes

Department of Electronics has provided set of books to our students for preparing for entrance tests to post graduate programmes and campus placements. Our III B.Sc students are currently doing Morning classes in this area.
