CAREER GUIDANCE AND PLACEMENT CELL

Career Guidance and placement Cell started functioning in the college in 2010 and it acts as a centre for identifying job opportunities in different sectors. This cell provides the following facilities to the students.

·       Assistance is given to the students to apply for competitive examinations

·       Career orientation seminars are conducted.

·       Students were given opportunity to apply for various jobs for free with the facilities made available in the college

·       Made all eligible students register for various jobs as per their qualifications and aptitude, such as LDC, police constable, Railways, Reserve conductor, Assam Rifles, DRDO, Staff Selection Commission

Coordinators of the Cell

Haris P.M, Assistant professor of Economics served as the coordinator from June 2013 to May 2015. From june 2015 to February 2017 Shanavas P.H, Assistant professor of economics served as the coordinator of the Cell. From March 2017 to July 2018 Noufal P, Assistant professor of economics served as the coordinator of the Cell. Since August 2018 Vijeesh M.V ,Assistant professor of commerce has been serving as the coordinator of the Cell.

2019-2020

GROOMING AND PERSONALITY DEVELOPMENT WORKSHOP

            Career guidance and placement cell in association with malayala manorama and Gillette guard conducted a workshop on grooming and personality development for the college students on 11-06-2019 at college auditorium Vineeth K training facilitator, malayala manorama handled the sessions. The area covered in the workshop are “how to attend an interview, appearance, body language, communication skills etc.

            In addition to the above class, a placement aptitude test for the various vacancies in the malayala manorama was conducted.Gillette guard gave their shaving set to all the participants.

More than 100 students from various departments were participated.

2018-2019

·       Talent Test Search Exam

During the academic year 2018-19 the Cell organized one day class on “Talent Test Search Exam” in association with TIME institute Calicut on 06.02.2019. The class was handled by Jomon Jose, the Marketing Director  TIME institute. More than 100 students were participated in the program.

·       CAMPUS INTERVIEW BY BEST EDUCATION                                                               

Best education, an ISO 9001 to 2008 certified institution in the field of communicative English in schools and colleges conducted a campus interview in association with career guidance and placement cell on 17-04-2019 at government college Mananthavady.

2017-2018

·       Career Profile mapping

During the academic year 2017-18 the Cell organized a seminar on the topic “Career Profile mapping” in association with GUIDERS, Kochi. Mr. Praveen Kumar M S, the faculty GUIDERS Kochi handled two sessions on the topic. Around 100 students were participated in the program.

 

2016-2017

·       Guidance for Higher Education

During the academic year 2016-17 the Cell organized a seminar on “Guidance for Higher Education” in association with GUIDERS, Kochi. Santhosh K Das, the faculty GUIDERS Kochi handled two sessions on the topic. More than 100 students were participated in the program.

 

2015-2016

·       “Better Career Option”

During the academic year 2015-16 the Cell organized a class on “Better Career Option” in association with TIME institute Calicut on 16.01.2016. Tintu Thomas, the faculty  TIME institute took two sessions on the topic. Around 100 students were participated in the program.

 

2014-2015

·       Career Guidance Class and Exhibition

The cell in association with minority department, government of kerala, organized one day class on career guidance for the fifth semester students on 26.07.2014. Experts from the minority department, kerala handled the sessions. The programme was inaugurated by  Prof. Sanal kumar( Principal). Later an exhibition of career opportunities in various fields was organized by the cell.

·       Introducing web portal

Different job portals were introduced by the campus placement Manager team, Banglore for the final year students on 21.01.2015. Sri. Rajesh Pillai (CEOcampus placement Manager) handled the session. Later the students were registered in the campus placement manager web portal.

·       Courses of G-TECH Education

G-TECH education Academy , Mananthavady introduced their different IT orienterd courses to the students on 27.02.2015. Around 100 students from various departments were participated in the program.
