The Department Blog is an extension service intended not only for the students of the department but also the students and teachers of other college and universities.

The Department provides facility for outsiders to use the Language Lab for training (Kerala State Women Development Corporation, for example) and examinations of SDE.

The Department periodically conducts national and regional seminars which are of a topical nature for the dissemination of ideas, and also participate and present papers in seminars.
