1.   Hosting of College Website

The Government College Mananthavady has recently hosted fully functional college website  The website is maintained by Prof. Ashkarali P. Department of Electronics. He has made every effort to host a beautiful and informative college website with his own webscripts. The website guides us to various activities of the college, faculty profiles, research activities, department details, academic results, new initiatives hosted in the college and dedicated webmail for both students and faculty members.

2.   Department Blog

Department of Electronics is running a blog for the benefit of our students and out of the campus. The blog is informative, comprises of several links to recent job opportunities, higher studies, PPTs of our faculties and their personal websites.

3.   C++ Language morning class

The current syllabus of B.Sc Electronics in Kannur University is not offering any programming languages. This is a handicap for the Electronics Students. We have seen over years that the pass out batches struggled a very much to cop with the students from other universities to  find a job in both electronics and Software fields. In this Scenario, we have implemented a best practice in the Department of Electronics. In the final year class, Mrs. Sukanya M.G, a Computer Science Higher secondary qualified student is delivering C++ Language class every day from 9.00 to 10.00 AM to her class mates, based on the supervision of our faculty member. We supplied the modules to be taken and the laboratory sessions to be handled. The interesting result turn out as placement in IT industry during the recent campus placement drive happened at St. Mary's College Sulthan Bathery. A student of III B.Sc Electronics class has been selected to WIPRO technologies, with a good salary package and offer to do MS in BITS Pilani.

4.   Conducting Computer classes for Non Teaching Staffs in the College

Department of Electronics conducts computer classes to the non teaching staff on every Tuesdays & Thursdays. The lessons are framed in the department and C-Lab is utilized for conducting the laboratory sessions. The classes have already gained wide popularity among non teaching staffs. Over 50% of our non teaching staff is currently admitted to this class.

5.   Guiding PG thesis

Our faculty members are guiding PG thesis of M.Sc Physics & Electronics students from other campuses. We undertake innovative projects having scope for research. We have already guided 2 post graduate projects and 2 more is in pipe line.

6.    ECG Centre

The ECG centre is basically multi-facetted activity. Apart from the social service point of view, it provides immense possibility for the students to create technical aptitude among students and to undertake innovative projects.

7.   MCA/M.Sc/Campus placement Morning classes

Department of Electronics has provided set of books to our students for preparing for entrance tests to post graduate programmes and campus placements. Our III B.Sc students are currently doing Morning classes in this area.

8.   Assisting students in Placement drives

Our department provides all support to the students in placement activity. We encourage our students to register in job sites, inform all forthcoming placement drives and our faculties convene special placement trainings and orientation class to strengthen their qualities.
