ETHICS COMMITTEE As per the direction of the Additional Director of Collegiate Education (G2/28842/2009/Coll. Edn.,Thiruvananthapuram, Dated 07/09/2009) and the Director of Student services, Kannur University(DSS/A1/508/LA Interpellation, Dated 08/10/2009), the Ethics Committee has been functioning in the college since September2009. Objectives: - To prevent the misuse of modern information technology To restrict cinematic dances and fashion shows which verge on vulgarity To prevent the misuse of Mobile Phone in the college campus Structure: Chairman Vice Chairman Convener Joint Convener Members Representative of NSS Representative of NCC Member of Corporation/ Municipality/ Panchayath A lady member either from the Teachers or from the Students The Ethics Committee in the college is constituted by the following members. A, Dept of History Representative of NSS : NSS Secretary Representative of NCC : NCC Captain Member of Panchayath : Ward Member Ms. Bindu Annan Lady member : Jasla N. H, III BA English. Surprise Inspection squad: A Surprise Inspection Squad has been functioning in the college since 29/04/2010 as per the direction of the Director of Student Services, Kannur University (DSS/A1/508/LA Interpellation, Dated 10/03/2010) for the effective implementation of the decisions of the committee and for preventing the misuse of mobile phone in the campus. It consists of a Senior Teacher, a Lady Teacher, a Representative of the PTA and one Student representative. The present members are the following: Prof. Amruthavally Prof. Jose K. M (PTA Secretary) Prof. Sheeba K. A Miss. Jasla N. H Functions: To sensitize students about the problems connected with the misuse of mobile phones To publicize the policy of the college on the use of mobile phones and information technology through posters and campaigns. To address grievances in connection with the above mentioned subjects. |
